Manochehr Dorraj, Ph.D., is a professor at Texas Christian University. He teaches courses in comparative politics and international relations. He also offers a summer seminar course in Budapest, Prague and Vienna titled, “Political Life in Hungary and Central Europe”. He is interested in Third World and Middle Eastern development issues. He works on both the political-economic and the political-cultural aspects of development.
He is the author, coauthor, editor or coeditor of six books and more than 50 articles and book chapters. References to his work and the translation of his publications have appeared in Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Turkish and Persian languages.
Professor Dorraj is a frequent commentator on global and Middle Eastern affairs, and has granted numerous interviews to the national and international media and has written many editorial op-eds for newspapers. He is also active on lecture circuits and has delivered many speeches to Universities, Think Tanks, and community groups in Dallas Fort Worth area and throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
